PopMan allows you to manage your pop and imap email accounts, containing a black list to delete automatically undesirable emails from the server, and a white list to allow receiving emails. You can define rules with a list of bad words and regular expression strings to automatically delete messages based on their content. You don't need to load emails completely opening your client email. You can retrieve certain number of lines of the message body, and configure the size of small emails to load completely. Popman works in the background notifying you when a new email is received. It has a preview window that extracts and displays only the text and information allowing you to check securely if an email is desirable or if it is spam, without the danger of opening viruses, activex controls, JavaScript code, etc. To add an account you need to know the protocol for retrieving emails, protocols allowed are: POP3, imap4rev1, IMAP4rev1(SSL), POP3 SSL, POP3 APOP, and POP3 SSL+APOP); the address of the server of your email provider, the port number of the email service (it depends on the protocol utilized), user name, and password.
